A plethora of paranormal goings on; true ghost tales gathered from California, Nevada and beyond.

Belief in ghosts seems to have little to do with whether or not we will encounter one. Apparently it's more a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Once we've had a brush with the paranormal it's difficult to forget. Excerpt
Seems like even those folks who claim no interest or belief in ghostly phenomena have a story to share if given half a chance.
A ghost-denying acquaintance recently told me about the spirit of her aunt's dog. When the elderly lady lost Sally, her German Shepherd, she was heartbroken. The family decided that it was a good time for her to move to smaller digs. They hoped that a new condo would keep her busy and chase away her sadness. Assured that she'd be her old self in no time, they helped her relocate to the new condominium.
She settled in, met a few other seniors in the upscale neighborhood, and seemed to forget her beloved Sally. Until the night a burglar broke in.
Startled awake by the sound of someone foraging around in the next room, she sat up in bed terrified. She wondered if she should pretend to be asleep or boldly confront the intruder. Just when she'd decided that feigning sleep was the wiser of the two choices, she heard Sally's angry growl and ferocious bark.
Oh my goodness, I must be dreaming, she told herself rolling back over. Then came the sounds of someone as they tripped over her footstool, and that of Sally growling viciously. She slipped on her robe and rushed into the living room just in time to see a man running out the door with the ghostly Sally nipping at his ankles. No matter what the police officers, or anyone else thought, the old woman was convinced that the ghost of her dear departed pet had protected her and her belongings that night.
