Windweeper: Book Three of the WindLegends Saga
'Till Death Do Us Part :
Conar McGregor saw his wife kneel down beside him, felt Liza gathering him into her arms, taking his body against hers as the ship bumped them together in the swelling of the sea. Her aura darkened as their bodies touched.
Conar McGregor: Disinherited Prince of Serenia; Lost Soul. From the shores of Oceania to the castle at Boreas, Conar and his lady-wife triumph over The Brotherhood, only to have their world shattered by a destiny written long ago and a King afraid of the truth. A Prince without a crown, a man without a legacy, Conar must face a fate worse than death .
Liza: A Princess without a Prince, whose heart grieves for the pain suffered by her husband; whose belief in justice is spared no lashing at the hands of the Brotherhood and whose soul will die as her love is lost beyond her reach .
Kaileel Tohre: High Priest of the Brotherhood of the Domination. Tohre’s madness rages as Conar spurns his love for the last time. Tohre feeds his perversity as he begins to topple a kingdom
Conar turned his head away from his wife, away from the pale lavender haze of her aura that shifted with his every movement. He longed to go to the voice hissing in his ear, promising the unseen, unfelt, delights of countless female bodies. He ached to give himself up to the lure that shook his body with a sexual arousal.
Liza's body went rigid with fury. Her arms tightened around him. "Go back to Your hell, You venomous spawn of the Abyss. He is mine! You will never have him!" She turned her face away from the sudden blast of noxious air that washed over her. "I am the only woman he needs!"
"You'll not keep him!" the voice told her. "He is ours! His flesh is our flesh!"
She felt her husband trying to pull away from her and she felt a sharp chill begin along the edges of their combined contact. She pressed her body closer to his.
"Feel me, Conar!" she commanded him. "Feel the warm flesh of your woman! I am all the sexual pleasure you need. Feel my passion, Beloved. Feel my love surrounding you."
Conar jerked in her arms. The look of pleading on her face hurt his very heart. He could feel the softness of his wife's flesh, could smell the sweet fragrance of lavender. "
No!" Raphian screamed over the booming thunder. The Storm God's attention was on the dark purple aura surrounding Conar as the glow altered, grew dimmer until it would at last become the soft lavender that now formed over the woman. He shot out his evil and touched Conar McGregor with the one punishment designed to bring the man back to Him.
Conar yelped with agony as he felt the cold, hard shaft of Raphian's demand impaling his soul. He felt a quiver of loathing go through him as Liza bent to kiss his lips. He tried to pull away from her. "I love you, Conar!" she cried, tears streaming down her ashen cheeks. "Stay with me! Stay with me, Beloved!" she whispered.
"Let him go!" Raphian ordered, furious that the glow around Conar was now almost of the color lavender, signifying defeat. He howled with rage as He was expelled from the vulnerable flesh he had invaded.
"Go to hell!" she shouted back and fumbled for Conar's hand. She placed his fingers to her breast, molding them around the softness. "I am flesh and blood, Conar. I am mortal. I am real!"
Conar felt a heady sense of immense power shoot through him. As she gripped his hand in hers, he knew the absolute endowment of the mystical knowledge that had lain dormant within him all those years, and knew, beyond any doubt, that he had held those powers in check since birth and beyond. His head cleared. His pain was gone. He felt his body swell with love and he turned to his woman, a wavering smile on his cold lips.
"Aye!" she cried out with happiness. "Aye, Conar, aye!"
He felt at long last the Omnipotence of a God-Chosen WindWarrior filling the sails of his soul and knew he could soar with the eagles in the sky if he wanted to. So great was the power now flooding through him, he knew he could fade from where he lay and blend into the very keep at Boreas if that was what was needed. He pushed the impaling thrust of Raphian's call away from him.
Conar could hear his men's anxious voices now. He could see them scurrying about to make the ship ready to ride out the storm. The knowledge that his power was even greater than expected suddenly flashed through him and thrilled him to his very core. "I can fight him, now, Liza!" he shouted to her over the keening wind. "I can fight Tohre!"
"Aye, my love," she agreed, her fingers gripping his. "And you will!"
He brought her fingers to his lips and placed a fierce kiss on her knuckles. "One, Elizabeth!" he said through clenched teeth. "You and I: We are One!"
In a word - "Enthralling!"
The WindWeeper by Charlotte Boyett-Compo, the third book in the Wind Legends Saga, is a must read.
If you are acquainted with any of the books in this series you know that there is one promise that Liza cannot keep to Conar McGregor, although she can not bring herself to admit it to him. The unraveling of their lives will keep you breathless as you consume page after page of this story. Ms. Boyett-Compo provides rich entertainment, beautiful characterization and a steady hand while leading us through "their" seemingly non-stopable fate. As always, the strength of this author is in her style of telling a mature love story set in a fantastic world that seems perfectly believable, as well as her ability to mold and shape the plot of the story around rich characters, their emotions, desires and needs. I highly recommend this book for older teens and adults who enjoy romantic fantasy.

Timeless Tales Reviews
I was literally astounded at how much WindWeeper held me in its thrall. As I read the story, I became engrossed in it. Fast paced with many surprising twists and turns, WindWeeper blew me away. I was glued to the edge of my seat turning pages quickly because I had to read what happened next. I found myself laughing at some things and at other points in the book, I found myself on the verge of tears. It has a good balance of humor, love, and tragedy. I absolutely loved this book. I know I am already looking forward to reading the next book in this fascinating series.
Know Better Reviews
"This story has characters where Hell's fire and gnashing of teeth would be too good a punishment for them. And it has characters that you love and care for with all of your heart.
"For its intense style that immediately draws you in to another place and time, for its ability to thoroughly stimulate your senses, for its unforgettable characters, and for its powerful portrayal of unwavering goodness versus the darkest of evil, I can't recommend Windweeper highly enough!"
