Bill, I read this last night. Ha! And what an exciting Saturday night I had. I loved it!
IMHO, your poems about your life are a national treasures. I felt your pain as you described community strife. And I reveled in the blessings you received as a husband, lover, father, grandfather and son. The overall impression your poems left me with was that life is beautiful and well worth living. Even in the one's that reminisced 9/11, weren't filled with bitterness and hatred, but reminded us to endear the lives of those who passed on that day. You brought them to life, by showing a slice of their life. (Did you lose a child in the towers?)
I will cherish the book and read it again and again and again.
Thank you!
