Chapter I
It appeared on the horizon, first as a ghostly cloud emerging from the depths as if it was riding on the shoulders of Aphrodite and Poseidon. But this was no ghost. The Beth, one hundred sixty-one feet of fiberglass luxury, her bow honed to a knife-edge, is an Evviva class yacht. She has five staterooms, accommodates ten, and a crew of seven. The early risers and the all-nighters were the first to spot her cruising into the harbor, and word spread like wildfire that the boat had arrived. They hadn't seen anything like the Beth since Malcolm Forbes Highlander’s last visit. The Beth sailed straight in, so they couldn't see the helicopter pad on her rear deck, nor could they see the garage below deck, stuffed with all kinds of toys. The Captain chose a deep-water anchorage at Trumbo Point, just off Mustin Street; the deep anchorage would provide a certain amount of security. He toggled the twin 900hp Alaskan diesels until the boat was just inside the harbor and dropped anchor. By this time a small crowd had gathered to gawk at the huge yacht. A crewmember lowered the motor launch and tied it to the gangplank. An audible murmur of surprise rose from the crowd when Honey and Vic appeared and made their way towards the launch. The Crewman helped Honey aboard and waited for Vic to join them. Someone in the crowd remarked that Vic was "probably a football Jock," and another person in the crowd agreed. Vic looked every inch a football player, and nothing like his real occupation, a New York City detective. Honey, on the other hand looked like Jane Kennedy in her prime. The big yacht and the beautiful black couple wasn't your everyday "fit,” but there they were, and there it was, "The Beth,” a gleaming white symbol of luxury -- everything on it white -- but its owners. Vic waved to the crowd, and Honey smiled. The response was immediate and unanimous, a loud, approving cheer. The only exception, a stone-faced man within the crowd who slithered off to a pay phone and called San Juan; he had recognized Vic as the cop who had cost him ten long years in prison.

Vic Morgan Is Back
Vic Morgan is back, this time with a vengeance! A great tragedy enters his life, one that will take him to strange places. And as usual author Cliff Chandler fills his story with twist and turns that grabs us and when we think we’ve found the solution, we find that we are wrong. If you missed his first book The Paragons his new book Vengeance Is Mine…will drive you to seek in The Paragons what has led to his latest offering. We are told that the tragedy in this book has had such a devastating affect on the readers that his third book of the series will have to change the awful event that takes place in Vengeance Is Mine. Sorry, can’t tell you what the event is, but you will understand after you read Vengeance Is Mine. He’s done it again, and done it in style.

The perfect honey moon
It starts as the perfect honeymoon, but turns into a nightmare for Vic
Morgan. Then the trapdoor opens and a whole new cast of demons crawl out,
some of which are inside Vic’s head, giving him the fight of his life. And
as we found in the Paragons, Chandler’s characters are seldom what they seem. This novel is explosive, and one not to be missed, because Vic Morgan is back . . . with a vengeance.
