Goal accomplishment also depends on planning. You may know what you want to accomplish and when you want to accomplish it by. BUT, you may not get there if you don’t plan.

A goal is like a road trip. You know where you are starting and you know where you are going. If you haven’t been there before, you don’t know HOW to get there and need a map.

Planning a goal is your map to your ultimate destination.

To plan your goal, take that piece of paper that you set your goal on. Below it, write down various things you need to do to accomplish your goal. These are the ‘towns’ that you go through that help you measure how much farther you have to go.

Once you have your tasks, or mini-goals, written down, set a deadline as to when you want to achieve them. This will help you measure how far you have come and how much farther you have yet to go.

All of this being done, the last thing you need to do is write down on your calendar the due dates of your mini-goals, so that you can see them coming up.

You are well on your way to reaching your destination – a goal accomplished!
