What happens when a young black thug from the 'hood is murdered and sent back to earth in the body of a comatose white woman married to a hot-looking narc cop? Find out in this unusual gender-switch e-book.
The seventh son of a seventh son Kelly Butler is, at a twenty-four, a gifted natural psychic and a streetwise homeboy imbued with a false sense of his immortality as he skirts the fastlane in the hood. Hustling for the almighty green and experimenting with spirituality through his adopted neo-Pagan faith, he just barely scratches the surface of this religion’s true meaning, too preoccupied with his life’s main infatuations: the honeys and the money. Only after he is cut down in a seemingly random act of violence and is reincarnated in the body of a married woman, does Kelly come to appreciate and respect his abilities and understand the real purpose of his talents. Tyler Diaz is a dedicated and driven NYPD Narcotics Detective still reeling from his teenage brother’s premature death to an overdose ten years previously. Haunted by the notion that his mother’s negligence and her unorthodox beliefs were at the root of his younger brother’s descent into the drug culture, Tyler has been on a personal mission of redemption ever since--one that has served to progressively alienate his wife more than their disparate backgrounds or the immense social gap between them ever could have. When Dagny Diaz emerges from a two-week long coma--an apparent amnesia victim emotionally and philosophicallyunrecognizable as the frivolous and decadent young woman to whom Tyler has been married for the last five years and against whom he has recently filed for divorce--Tyler’s past comes full circle and he is forced to face the unresolved feelings of blame he has long harbored toward his mother as he comes to the glaring realization that he is still in love with his wife.
Excerpt
Something was sitting on his chest like a nightmare. Sitting and watching.
He'd had the sensations in the past, had smelled the musty smells, heard the shuffling sounds of evil spirits, experienced suffocation and the levitation.
Another time, in another hospital where he’d been recuperating after having been struck down by a car. Two broken legs. Months in casts that had seemed like a thousand pounds weighing down his skinny, seven-year-old limbs.
One morning, he awoke and found himself, in his cast, stretched across a chair on the opposite side of the room. When a nurse had come in to check on him a little later, and had demanded to know how in the world he’d gotten out of his bed by himself, he'd answered with the truth: "I floated."

"...Let go of your homophobia, suspend your disbelief, and join Kelly in discovering a new respect for the fairer sex, and a love that transcends cultural and spiritual differences.... This delightful, surprising romance is not for the conservative or closed minded, but a refreshing, well-written read for those of us looking for something a little different." Kristina Daron, Romance Novel Reviews.

"...Wonderful! I wondered how the author could possibly pull off a romance between Dagny and Tyler when Kelly had once been male. Gracie McKeever seemed to succeed effortlessly! I was glued to the story the entire time and never bored! Highly recommended!" Detra Fitch – Huntress Book Reviews

"HOT!...Everything about NLI is just right. I adore Kelly/Dagny and Tyler who bicker, stumble, fight, and love all the way to the last page. NLI has me hooked line and sinker. Definitely one of the best books I've read in a while..." Jenny Lim, Romance Novel Central, 8/00
