This workbook was developed to assist writers, role-play gamers and other would-be "world builders" in creating viable, believable settings. Though originally intended to supplement a workshop of the same name, the workbook also provides useful material when used on its own. In the World Building for Writers Workbook, you will be presented with numerous questions related to topics under the primary categories of PEOPLE, TOOLS, RULES and BACKGROUND. These questions are intended to jump-start your own creative thought processes. Each facing page, labeled as "Notes," provides you with space to get that brainstorm started. Exercises and 2 Appendices will provide further assistance by suggesting worksheets for use in the building process, and including examples of three worlds previously created by the author.
