A collection of elegies, odes and erotic poems.
South Asian Diaspora Poetry - A Bee from Divine Unity
This collection of verse is a rare, unique and surreal view of New York City. A Bee From Divine Unity started as a collection of elegies to a girlfriend who died from cerebral meningitis on Santorini. Since then the collection became divided into three sections; A Full Brooklyn Moon, Amulets From Earth and ends with the series to his girlfriend, A Bee From Divine Unity. A Bee From Divine Unity is a series of surreal and lush landscapes that could lead to the Lower East Side of Manhattan or to Bhaktapur in Nepal. Within this collection Ben covers a wide range of territory, from lovers who met on the 7 train going to see a lunar eclipse to the funeral of his girlfriend, from the rush hour crowd who stand hypnotized by a silver mime at Grand Central Station to the only statue of Jesus found at roadside vendor at the ganges. This work offers readers a chance to see a new voice in the ever growing fabric of contemporary American non-fiction. Please check out the website for more info, sample verse and images.
