An irreverent look at the beliefs and foibles of Californians, almost guaranteed to cure xenophobia.
Gridlocked
Traffic-angst permeates all levels of life for Californians. When meeting an attractive man in a bar, once he has been cleared astrologically, it must be established if the possible relationship is “commutable.” Nothing is worse than falling for someone with bad freeway connections.

Professional Reviews
LanguageTips.com
Ever since the days of the gold rush and the pioneers, California has been a ‘far out’ place, quite different from the rest of America. This book paints an entertaining picture of these people who, the author (a Californian himself) says, are so into delusion that they are completely out of touch with just about everything except their image!
The Observer
Short, aphoristic, seriously funny, not that xenophobic and almost entirely apt guide, perfect homework for the fortunate on ferry or plane.
