We never forget by remembering.

Papa in the Sky, told gently in a child’s voice, is an inspiriting story about death and heaven.  When the time is right, the children ask and the parent answers.

The imaginative journey begins with a young girl Ruby, along with her brother Jimmy, who every night blesses Papa in the Sky.  They’ve seen Papa in pictures throughout their house.  Now they want to know more about him.  Papa in the Sky is their late grandfather.  The children didn’t know they had another grandfather!  Her mother tells them about the man, then pursues her children’s other questions about Heaven. Jimmy and Ruby learn that the power of remembering keeps loved ones alive.

Shirley Johnson/Senior Reviewer MidWest Book Review
Inside the pages of this heartfelt book, we see how one mom shares the memories of her dad, who now resides in heaven, with her children. Each night following their prayers, she simply says, "Bless Papa in the sky." When the children question her she begins to tell them of their departed grandfather.

I found this book to be very peaceful. The mother shares memories of the grandfather and the love and joy he brought to his family. She then tells them that even though he now is in heaven he is still with them in many ways because he is part of the heavens. He is with them in the stars, the wind, the air and the rain, and that they will see him again. The illustrations are very good bringing the story to life with perfect expressions and color. A great book for anyone, young or old, that wants to remember that although one may pass from this life they are never far away.
