Back Cover --
The most important parts of the Christmas season are not the presents or the tree, baking or decorations. It's the people -- family and friends -- who enrich our lives and make the holidays so special.
Christmas Quilt is actually a collection of people who will make you laugh and cry, remember and wish, and like good friends, you’ll want to visit them every year.
You’ll meet Bobby and Mrs. Clayborne, who have holiday ghosts to deal with; Megan and her siblings, orphaned just before the holiday.
There’s the children of the coal mining village of Snow and a group of lumberjacks, all of whom learn to believe in magic.
Read one mother’s need for holiday tradition, letters from friends full of holiday cheer, verses and rhymes about luminaries and Christmas Eve traditions.
And meet all the people touched by The Christmas Quilt, made with love for a daughter’s holiday wedding, as it appears at Christmas time throughout the century.
Excerpt
--from a loyal fan of Barb's story cards:
I LOVE your stories!
I remember the day I received my first Christmas Story Card in the mail. Most people send cards, Barb composes stories. It was such a wonderful story that I put it away with my Christmas ornaments so I could set it out for others to read the following Christmas.
Just before December 25 of the next year I received a surpise in the mail, another Christmas Story Card had arrived. It was just as exciting to read as the first one. I now have a collection of them and I always look forward to the holidays and the anticipation of the next Christmas Story.
I wonder what the theme will be this year? M.W., Killen, AL

"If you love Christmas you will enjoy CHRISTMAS QUILT ANTHOLOGY by Barbara Baldwin. The stories contained within could melt the heart of the worst Scrooge. Don't wait until it gets cold outside to snuggle up find your favorite piece in the Christmas Quilt Anthology.
"Each story is unique and different and like the individual blocks of a quilt when sown together form a beautiful picture of Christmas. Like the pieces that make up a quilt everyone should be able to find a story or poem they will fall in love with. From a mother's love that transcends death to protect her child to Lumberjacks who find the magic of Christmas. From coal mining children who build snow villages to a small child who brings out the love in a bitter old woman.
"My personal favorite was the story of a quilt made with love for a daughter's wedding and the lives it touches as it spans a century of time to end up a treasured find in a city flea market."

"Christmas Quilt Anthology is such a special book that I don’t really know how to describe it but basically it’s about Christmas. But not about Christmas like lots of people know it these days. It’s not about the presents, it’s about family values and family spirit. About the real meaning of Christmas, how Christmas should be. There’s plenty of love in this book. Barbara Baldwin has written a heart-touching book. Reading this anthology made me feel partly sad, but in the meanwhile also partly good. And that’s what makes it so special."

Fall in Love Again with Christmas
Barbara Baldwin reminds readers of the warmth and love of Christmas within the pages of "Christmas Quilt Anthology."
This anthology is comprised of a several stories, letters, and poems which individually convey the innocence of children, the devotion of parents, and the wonder of a season when miracles happen. Perhaps the most emotionally endearing are the stories, "The Christmas Quilt" and "Once Upon a Christmas Wish." "The Christmas Quilt" takes a tattered quilt and recounts how a quilt made in its entirety with love and imperfections is passed down through the years. The quilt may be barren, but once readers learn its history, it will become a precious gift. "Once Upon a Christmas Wish" details the harsh Christmas one town faces during the Depression and how children are determined to maintain a tradition despite their own lack of gifts.
There are lighter moments throughout the anthology that will have you chuckling and nodding your head in agreement. You will be glad Santa has elves once you read one possible beginning in "Santa and the Lumberjacks". Who hasn’t been the grown child that wants the ugly kindergarten ornament removed from the tree or been the parent trying to maintain memories and tradition by hanging the ornament each year. A child’s wonder and ingenuity in "The Hungry Christmas Guest" will leave you smiling, while the haunting love of "Christmas Waltz at Bayberry" reminds us all that love is the best gift of the season.
Barbara Baldwin’s delivery is a personal, heartfelt addition to Christmas and ensures there is something for everyone in "Christmas Quilt Anthology".
