When I began writing my autobiography, a strange thing happened. God instructed me to stop. Naturally, I inquired why.
His response was, “You only have half of the story. Prepare yourself as I reveal the other half.” What He revealed about angels and demons has been life changing.
Unknown to us, battles for our souls rage constantly, pitting our guardian angels against the minions of Satan. Yes, guardian angels are as real as Satan's determination to defeat them. Our only hints of these attacks come through the voices we hear in our heads and hearts—and the miracles we encounter daily: the car that barely misses us, the stranger who spots the fire before it claims our lives, the job that materializes, and the terminal illness that disappears.
At nineteen, I left a failed marriage and dead-end job in Texas for the adventurous life of an airline stewardess, but took a major detour that should have destroyed my life. Jesus knows all things, and therefore charged His archangel Michael to protect me from myself and Satan. I didn’t realize I was in the middle of a war for my soul. Those battles between Michael's forces and the minions of Satan molded me into the woman I have become today.
Protecting me was not an easy task. I was headstrong and desirous of a lifestyle that only money could provide. My desire for beautiful things and excitement led me to my first love, a drug dealer who only saw me as a mule and a sex object. His betrayal sent me spiraling downward, to an escort service, drug addiction, homelessness, and jail.
Through it, Michael protected me from death and Satan's grasp. Slowly, through one harrowing experience after another, I understood the power of God.
If you doubt the existence of guardian angels, prepare for a startling revelation. This book will enlighten you about angels and demons.

Chapter one of My Guardian Angel is So Real

The demon named Amducious flew as fast as he could. This is it; this message will ensure my position as general. I will command legions of demons. I will cause those puny humans to bow to Master. Amducious folded his wings and landed smoothly; then he walked through the guarded gates with his head held high with authority. "I have an important message," he bellowed. "I must have an audience with the prince at once."

The gatekeeper smirked. "What makes you think you are important enough to be granted an audience with the prince?"

"I am Amducious the Destroyer, and I have a message of the utmost importance. Are you willing to bet your head that he does not wish to receive it?"

The gatekeeper's eyes flickered briefly with insecurity. "Wait here. I will announce your presence." Upon his return, he bowed. "The Master will see you now. Make haste; he loathes waiting."

Amducious preened his wings briefly and stepped into the great hall. He timidly approached the throne; the air was laden with the smell of sulfur. With his head bowed, he stole a fleeting glance at the one sitting upon the throne. His wings were massive and his beauty was astounding. He was adorned with every kind of jewel. Amducious was quite aware of how quickly his mood could change and his appearance with it. He knelt at the base of the throne. "Master, Prince of Darkness and ruler of this world, I bring you worship and praise. Am I permitted to speak?"

"If you did not have my permission to speak, I would have severed your head before you had finished the first syllable," Satan replied.

"Very well, my king. I bring a message of great importance. This message was intercepted on its way to the golden warrior!"

Satan stood to his full height, his wings opened fully. As quick as the speed of light, he transformed into a ferocious beast and raised his sword. "You dare invent a story such as this? No one intercepts messages to the Archangel Michael! Only Gabriel or I have the prowess to come into his presence undetected."

Amducious shrank back in fear and lay prostrate on the floor, knowing he was twenty seconds from having his head severed from his body. "It is true, Master. Please spare me that I may give you a full report."

"Proceed, but if it is not to my liking, you will regret having the audacity to enter my presence."

"Yes, Master." Amducious's voice was barely audible. "The One Who Sits at the Right Hand of God summoned him to guide and protect a human on earth with the name Melissa. She is very important to him, and Michael was ordered to make haste. Because of the unusual request of the One at the Right Hand, Michael briefly let his guard down to ponder the request. At that brief moment, I was able to go undetected. Once he detected my presence, he decided his orders were too important to pursue me. Therefore, I escaped unharmed. Had it not been for his urgency to reach the Heavenly Throne, I would surely have lost my head."

"Hmmm, Michael summoned by The Morning Star to protect one human? This is most unusual. Michael has legions at his disposal for such a task. What is so important about this human that The One Who Sits at the Right Hand requires that she be guarded by Michael?"

Satan sat to ponder his question. Seeing that he had lowered his sword, Amducious lifted his head. "It's quite strange, Master. I went to investigate this human and there is nothing of importance about her. She has no wealth or station. She possesses no land and nothing of value. She...she sews garments in a garment factory," he stammered.

Satan stood up again. "She sews garments in a garment factory?" he bellowed. "What sort of nonsense is this?"

"It is true, Master, I swear it. I saw it with my own eyes."

Satan threw balls of fire across the room. "It had better be true, for if this is a trick of Michael's, I will see you at the guillotine. We must prepare an attack at once. This will require the utmost skill and cunning, for Michael is a worthy adversary. If this human is of such importance to The One Who Sits at the Right Hand, then she will belong to me. Assemble your best troops. Make no mistake. If you fail me, it will be your head."

Meanwhile, Michael the Archangel arrived at the Throne of the Most High God. He too was a work of beauty with shimmering gold and an array of jewels. His countenance was so bright that a human could not gaze upon him without becoming temporarily blind.

"Praise be to God the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit," Michael said as he bowed before the Throne of God. "I am your humble servant."

"And you are my most trusted warrior," Jesus said. "Why are you troubled?"

"It is not my place to question He who made the Heavens and the earth," Michael replied.

"And yet you ponder the importance of my daughter Melissa." Without waiting for an answer, Jesus said, "She is one of my children and is predestined to reside with me in the Kingdom of Heaven. This alone warrants my intervention. She has a pure love for me, like that of a child. She also has many weaknesses, which Satan will exploit. However, that which Satan has planned for her demise, I will use for my glory. Her greatest threat is that of her own desires, and she will suffer much because of them. She will search for me to no avail, and she will be quick to accept defeat. The riches of the world will be a great temptation for her. She will pursue them with great longing, but they too will elude her. She will look for me again to no avail. Many will cry out, 'He is here. No, He is there,' but again she will not find me. However, they who search long and hard will not abandon the Truth once they have found it. Hers will be a long and arduous journey, but victory will be hers; and in the end, I will say to her, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant.' It is necessary for these things to take place, for I will use her plight as an example to the world that my grace and mercy are sufficient to sustain them through all, even death. "I have summoned you, my most trusted warrior, for this mission because it will require the utmost skill to protect her. Satan's attack will be a vicious one. You must exercise caution and be on your guard. Only through my grace will she be spared. You must protect her through a sea of sin and degradation. She will enter the sexual perversions of Sodom and Gomorrah and the drunken stupors of pharmaceuticals. She will escape the punishments of government authorities, the plagues of AIDS and cancer, and the blight of false religion. She will elude death by fire along with her male sibling and her first born. This she will see as a gift that was given to her and her sibling so that they may find salvation. Of you, I will require much. You must be prepared at a moment's notice to cross over to the earthly plane to take them back when I raise her and her male sibling from the dead."

Michael's wings fluttered ever so slightly at this command.

"I know, my faithful servant, rarely do I resurrect one from the dead; however, it is required to demonstrate that I hold the power over life and death.

I am speechless....,
Your book is one of the most honest journeys I have had the opportunity to go on. Every word kept me captivated and after completing it, I was speechless. Your use of language provided a clear and vivid account of the "real life" struggle Melissa encountered. The testimony you share with the world through this book is one that will shake the very foundation of every one who reads it determined to walk every step of the way in Melissa's shoes! Heaven is truly happy, that you stepped up to the plate with the honesty, boldness and courage that only the Holy Spirit can provide.
