One day I was thinking about family, and I wanted to be with them so much it hurt. The pull to be with them hit hard. Knowing it wasn't possible to just take off to be with them, I began writing this little romantic story of a woman who let her career take her away from those she loved the most. I believe things happen for a reason, even when we don't fully understand the string of events along the way. Christmas is a time for giving, and for some, receiving the help when they least expect it, especially when it's needed the most.
