Have you ever taken a journey only to find that you don't know where you're going or where you're supposed to be? Have you ever reflected upon your life's journey thus far and determined that you are heading in the wrong direction? I have traveled for decades in this body and it was not until recently that I've found my purpose...to serve the Lord! This book serves as a poetic journey of sorts as I try to sort out my emotions in response to the state of the world. Within these pages you will find clues to the events that have inspired me to write down my feelings as well as the start of my new life as a Christian. Are you ready to begin?
Excerpt from : "Why Have I Changed?"
The word has remade my spirit
I fell in love with the word of God and I do not want to part from it
Two strangers that were already there, crossed paths
Slowly the guard was let down and the heart exposed
Quickly I fell in love with the Word and as each day passes I fall in love with God
Again and again
If there are any gains from this faith – and there will be…
I will gladly share this with you
I am willing to fight for this knowledge
In spite of the enemies who do not believe in us or want us to fail – I will prevail.
Through Christ I will prevail.
Yes, I want to spread the Gospel.
Not to distance myself from you but to bring us closer.
I’ve always wanted a job where I can help others gain something meaningful
To give someone a little bit of hope when discouraged
And work for a boss who does not criticize, chastise or lay me off to save money.
If I can share with anyone a portion of the life-saving peace that I feel now
I’m overcome with emotions because I am to do something that is right.
I like a challenge – you know this…
I want to embark on a challenge to not curse, not drink and not hate.
The reward is so great and one that cannot be counted
I will not tamper with the faith that we have promised to your Church
I will only strengthen the faith that I left behind over 2 decades ago.
The time has come
To separate the doers from the Sayers
The healers from the slayers
The cursing from the prayers
The light from the dark
I and my faith will not part
All I ask is that you understand
That before you will stand a better man
Devoid of weaknesses and stress
Determined to do his best
Let me continue my quest
I and the family shall be blessed
With everlasting peace and love
That can only be attained from our God up above
