Poetry came to George late in life as over 1200 of his poems were written in the last 3 1/2 years. It was then that he joined a poetry den and with encouragement from the many poets that reviewed his poems his poetry flourished. His poems are diversified and touch on almost every aspect of life. Though his poems are not lengthy they leave one with an inspirational message that can warm one’s heart.

George touches all the chords of a Romantic in his many poems about love. From desire to fulfillment there is a poem for every lover to relate to.

In the Inspirational section you will find poems of praise, asking, forgiveness and love for God. Your mind will be lifted above the mundane vexations of daily living.

In the Nature section you will live the beauty that God has gifted this earth with in everything He created, from insects to animals, to all that the four seasons have to offer, you will be delighted by a poem touching on each.

George’s Dark poems delve into the psyche of nightmares, despair, alcoholism, to fear, while offering a glimmer of hope in each poem.

George in the War section explores the wars of today and the affects they have on those living through them. He gets into a soldiers mind and how the wounds of the battle field live on in the minds of each soldier long after the war is over and leave him in a constant hell of what the war has done to him. These are the wounds which there is no purple heart for.

In the final section where Japanese Haiku’s And Senryu’s are written. George gets philosophical in many but stays true to Haiku’s of the seasons. Brevity in a 5-7-5 syllables is what the Japanese strive for and George, for the most part, has stayed in this format.

Was There Ever A Time


Was there ever a time
when I failed to say I love you?
When I failed to hold you close
and kiss your lips so true?

Was there ever a time
in our love making
when my heart failed to beat
a refrain of my love for you?

Was there ever a time
in this rhapsody of life
when my heart was not set ablaze
by the wonders of your charms?

Was there ever a time,
my darling and loving bride,
that I ever failed in my quest
to raise you above the heavens?

To place you amongst the stars
that shine in the mystical night,
that shines in my loving heart
A celestial dream come true?

If I have failed to do so
May the heavens resound
and echo this love for you
that comes from my loving heart.
