Amelia's life was spiraling downward- that is what she thought. She was not running away from her problems by going to India, was she? Love was complicated, particularly loving the men in her life. They always disappointed her. Amelia needed answers and where else to find them, but in God's house.
Then there was Amelia's sister, Margaret and the disturbing dream involving her - did God still communicate that way?
Her search leads her to the poor of India where a young man's undying dedication and love paves the way back to her father's heart and the forgiveness she spent a lifetime seeking.
Excerpt
Amelia walked out of the church, sat on the steps and listened to the sounds of the village. Cars passed by, their radios playing at fever pitch. She spotted a group of teenagers joking around with each other on the other side of the street, then the old fashion street lamps glistened in the night sky causing her to weep.
"Why am I here, Lord? Please give me a sign that you hear me?"
Just then, a brilliant white dove landed on the lampost and Amelia felt like the bird was staring through her soul.
