12 Things Every Black Needs

Thing #1 - The Mind is an Important Things to Develop
No brain – No gain! You must develop your mind to reach your full potential.

Thing #2 - Hand’s Been Dealt
Life is tough for us all. Face your problems head up and so you will still come out on top. Your hand in life was dealt at birth but you can play it to win!

Thing #3 - Apologize When You Do Someone Wrong
You can’t go through life ruining relationships and dissin’ people.

Thing #4 - Don’t Burn Your Bridges
Never burn your bridges because you might have to go back across them one day. In other words, don’t dis people who have showed you they got your back.

Thing #5 - There’s Always Someone Worse Off Than You
Quit tripping about material stuff you don’t have or your folks can’t or won’t buy you. How many pairs of gym shoes do you need to feel good about yourself? There are some boys in the world with no shoes and even some with no feet, so thank God for what you have.

Thing #6 - Never Give Up!
Tough times don’t last but tough people do. Don’t get discouraged. Hang tough and find a way or make a way to make it through.

Thing #7 - Know Thyself
If you know your history you will know your strengths.

Thing #8 - Know Your History
Everything you NEED to know about African/Black History will NOT be taught in school. Some of yall have been programmed to hate each other, fight each other and even kill each other. Wake Up! As brothers, we are supposed to be on the same team and not sending each other to the grave.

Thing #9 - Don’t Blame Your Mother
The ONLY way you got here on this earth was through your mother. You might not understand her sometimes and she might even make you mad or get on your so-called nerves. But she is still your mother and you need to man up and handle your business and show her respect at all times.

Thing #10 - Don’t Blame Your Father
You might love your father and be happy that his is in your life. Or, you might hate your father for something he’s done or for not being a part of your life. You might even be mad or sad and miss your father because he is no longer living or because he is in jail. If you have hard feelings about your father you’ve gotta find a way to get over them. Don’t let your anger and frustration over him ruin your life. Check ya’self before you wreck ya’self.

Thing #11 - If You Can’t Take the Heat Stay Out of the Kitchen
If jonein, crackin, bustin' makes you mad and causes you to want to fight – quit hanging around folks that jone, crack or bust. It’s that simple.

Thing #12 - It’s Easier To Stay Out Of Trouble Than It Is to Get Out Of Trouble
Ain’t no love for the thugs. You better open your eyes and see what’s going on ‘cause they are lockin’ bruthas up by the thousands. You know right from wrong – so quit foolin’ ya’self.
