One of her Nuns had been murdered. Because of lack of evedence, police have been ordered to shelve the case. Mother Superior and Constable Megan Darcy take to the road o find this evidence.
The Convent had been there for as long as anyway in town could remember. It was now home to The Sisters of Saint John. But one stormy night one of the Sisters was murdered. As police investigated with little success, the morale of the Sisters suffered. When the police were finally ordered to shelve the case, Mother Superior, who had been a Nun for 28 years, took things into her own hands. Requesting a tempory absence from her religious duties, along with Constable Megan Darcy they go to find the evidence. Before entering the Convent, Mother Superior was a lawyer, andplanned to take a mobile legal service to outlying country towns, getting to talk to as many people as she can. With an unused family inheritance, she buys a motor home, and the two women take to the road. They end up finding more than they bargined for.
The care of this community was in the hands of Mother Superior, Mother Gregory. She ruled her domain with a rod of iron, but not without love and sensitivity, and was responsible for the care and wellbing of fifteen nuns, and four novices.
