The Lady of the Haven is a fantasy set in the first century A.D. The heroine is a young woman named Jael, who is the solitary resident of a mystical haven. Faced with seemingly insurmountable obstacles, she sets out on a journey that will bring her face to face with a world she has never experienced.
The very positive nature of this romantic action adventure tale leaves its readers feeling that anything is possible and they find it very hard to forget Jael.

Excerpt
"You owe me an answer, lady."
"My father was well known in these parts, my lord; as well my grandfather and many generations back." She stood just inside the door, hoping to make a quick exit. "They were traders...of a sort."
His eyes filled with recognition as he pieced the facts together. "Verani Haven...you are the daughter of Jon Rogan?" She nodded, keeping her eyes diverted. He smiled and settled back. "Then I am even more indebted to you than before. Jon Rogan smuggled my father out of the country many years ago. I grew up hearing the story of the 'disappearing trail', dear lady. I have often wished to see it."
She smiled shyly. "Oh you shall, my lord, as soon as you are able."

The Lady of the Haven is a fantasy with a wonderful heroine, Jael, who is thrust on a quest. This fascinatiing story is more grounded than most fantasies, and sure to please all fantasy fans and anyone who enjoys an excellent adventure. The characters are all three-dimensional and well-developed and described in enough detail to allow the reader to "see" everyone as the scenes unfold. All of the settings and the "world" are described in a believable manner. The dialogue is just right for the story. The plot has many layers, twisting and turning often in surprising ways.
