Disability Empowerment: Free Money For Disabled Americans To Make Dreams Reality. This book by Tonza Borden is a realistic guide to personal finance for Social Security Disability Income beneficiaries and other disadvantaged people living below the national poverty level. Borden explains to readers how you can get out of poverty and build assets with a Plan for Achieving Self-Sufficiency (PASS), and still receive monthly benefits while considering self-reliance. In 2009, the author used one of the little known resources in this book to get a $135,140.00 federal grant to purchase a home. If Clark Howard calls it a grant, it is. She paid no down payment or closing cost and got over $900 at closing, and $8,000 plus interest for the first-time homebuyer's credit.

What A Great Book
What a great book. Lord knows you did your homework! Your book without doubt is an immensely essential definitive work. What's great is you have constructed a user-friendly book as procedures can evolve to something complex. As far as I am concerned, the book is very important to the day-to-day function of disabled people and their caregivers, and of course it's an important addition to my library. -- W. H.
