The Angel of Death and the Demon
Liam Michaels, a wealthy artist and photographer, understands terrorism. While others may wonder how a human being can commit heinous acts of mass violence, he doesn’t. He knows the reason—they aren’t human. To struggling artists, homeless people, and a little crippled girl in need of an operation, Liam is a compassionate guardian angel. But in reality, he’s Azrael, the immortal Angel of Death, placed on earth to track down and destroy evil originating from demonic sources. Liam is a Voidmaster and can travel through and manipulate the infinite dimensions of the Multiverse through entryways called void points, which he places in each of his paintings and photographs. On New Year’s Eve, Liam steps out of a painting located in a Time Square hotel to intercept two men setting a briefcase-size neutron bomb. In the process, he discovers they are part of the Ba, a terrorist group spawned by the demon Raum, who Liam has been pursuing for three thousand years. Jean Delacroix is not just a CEO nor is his company, Connaissance Industries, simply the world’s largest manufacturer of computer processors and chips. Jean and Connaissance are secretly part of the Ba. Using an undetectable sentinel code inserted into all Connaissance hardware, Jean initiates a series of Internet thefts from U.S. and European Banks totaling billions. But Jean doesn’t stop with Internet thievery. In keeping with the goals of his master, he leaves a calling card at the sites of his thefts—a mini-neutron bomb. Liam must combine his angelic abilities with those of some uniquely talented men and women and some of today’s most advanced technologies to find and stop the Ba and their demonic leader. The Angel of Death and the Demon, is a modern day science fantasy thriller. The technologies mentioned in the novel, although seemingly far-fetched, exist in prototype form and will be reality within the next ten years.
He let Khalid’s head thump to the floor. As he moved his hand to the man’s forehead, his silver eyes suddenly blazed brightly, and the body of Khalid began to shimmer and dissolve into something like the snow on a bad television picture. A second later, the body was gone. Azrael stood and looked at the picture in his hand, which now contained the body of Khalid lying on the floor of the darkened room.
He moved to Hamad and held the second picture in his hand. He repeated the process and Hamad disappeared from the hotel room and reappeared in the second picture.
“Definitely not gonna be any rivers of wine and eternal virgins in there, boys. Too bad, because I was gonna pop for Dom Perignon. But not to worry, I’ll drink your champagne for you. Welcome to hell, fellas.”
