The Platinum Rule is a book that takes the other side of our most cherished sayings and proverbs. It is the result of years of reading and recording words of wisdom from the ages. It is a result of thinking about other ways of looking at the issue. In some cases the contrarian quotes offers more empowerment. Often times it does not serve to follow the wisdom of a proverb when a contrary action is needed. The most compelling example is "The Platinum Rule" more empowering under certain circumstances than the Golden Rule. It is often better to “do unto to others what they would have you do unto them” This rule takes into account that we have different cultures and different beliefs, and honors that. A must book for anyone who is interested in broadening his/her perspective.
Contrarian quotes offer another view on a subject. In many cases it is a more accurate view, in any event the contrarian quotes bring the otherside of the coin to our wisdom words.

As an odd duck or someone left of center, I often look for the otherside. As a result contrarian quotes came to mind. This collection started in 1966 and continued until 1994. The quotes were scattered amongst 9 pocket books that I kept in my pocket for years. They have guided and inspired me many, many times, especially when I needed guidence. here are but a few of the quotes
