Sexy Texas cattle rancher, Wade MacReynolds agrees to trade one night each week pleasuring savvy brothel madam Lily Barnett for water rights on her property. Their tryst becomes a battle of wills and wiles as they work out the terms of their agreement...

Set in the fictional 1880s town of Avery, Texas, Ride A Cowboy is the story of an ex-con cattle rancher who is desperate to get his herd to market. Wrongly convicted of a bank robbery and now on parole after two years of serving hard time, Wade MacReynolds must raise enough money from his cattle ranch to pay restitution or be sent back to prison.

Other ranchers in the territory would like nothing better than for Wade to fail so they can divide up his herd.  In an attempt to thwart his efforts, they have cut off all of the irrigation ditches that had been diverted to his property.  Desperate, he offers to buy water rights from the local brothel madam, Lily Barnett.  He quickly learns that the beautiful and savvy businesswoman has added some extra conditions to the contract!

Hardened by life, first as an orphan, and then as a lady of the evening, Lily has managed to make her way in a harsh world.  When the tall, sexy rancher offers to pay to divert the water on her property to keep his cattle alive, she's not about to fall for a handsome face, a hard luck story, and a few gold coins.  Tired of spending her life catering to the lustful desires of the male gender, Lily decides it's time for a change.

If the cowboy wants to get her water, he's going to have to pay--by spending one night in her bed each week.  Planning to take full advantage of their agreement, she tells Wade that he must fulfill her every wanton fantasy. If he proves himself worthy, then she'll sign a new contract granting him seven more days of water.

Little did she realize that this sexy cowboy had a few plans of his own...

Excerpt

Wade grimaced. Sitting there and staring wasn’t going to get this over with any sooner. He gave his horse a nudge to move forward, cursing his own wretched luck and the voluptuous Lily Barnett for making this so damn hard.

As he made his way down the path that led to the main house, Wade tried to put down the thoughts of a night alone with willful whorehouse madam. It was just sex, after all. A contract between two parties for services rendered. Wade ground his jaw. It was damned irritating. Not that he thought anything bad about exchanging sex for what he wanted. But he feared it wasn’t just sex that Lily wanted from him.

Sure, he wasn’t in this for the romance, either. He only wanted one thing from her and that was it. No rough sex, no tie-me-up-and-tease-me-all-night-long romps, and definitely none of those leather straps rumored to be hanging by her bedposts. He just needed her to sign off on some water rights so he could access the creek that ran through her land and divert it to his property and the six hundred head of thirsty cattle he owned.

Like any good cattleman, he’d made his offer. Five hundred dollars and the pick of his herds for her own use. She’d written back that it sounded like a fair deal, except she always sealed all of her business transactions one way. She’d said if a man wasn’t any good in the bedroom, he wouldn’t be any good at business. Damn hard-hearted bitch, he thought, although without as much malice as he should have had.
