An unpublished novel that traces the broken lives of two people (an abused woman and a combat veteran), exposing the similarities of their Post Traumatic Stress Disorders.

See my article It's Show Time for a more complete literary analysis.

(Walls, an excerpt from this novelI, has been accepted for publication in 2010, so I have taken this novel down temporarily until the excerpt has  gone public.).

Show Time’s antagonist isn't so much a closet monster as he is the American male exposed. Our fathers didn't think much of slapping our mothers around, even if they did it out of sight. It was just "showing them who is boss, king in their own castle."

Excerpt

This is a story about survival and the aftermath of experiencing two common types of violence: domestic and war. It is a story about courage, hope, and the future.

Reader Reviews for "Show Time"

Reviewed by Shelley Walden 4/30/2008
Hello, Thanks so much for your comments on my book Bound by Hatred. I have wrote about PTSD in the conclusion of my book In fact this compelled me to write the book more than anything else. It is a very tough one to get through but it seems we both have not allowed defeat! I wish you much success!
