Marc Lacy - Poet/Author/Spoken Word Artist

The Looking Heart is a collection of poetry for all ages focusing on a wide cross-section of subject matter.

The Looking Heart is a work of poetic expressions from within.  Whatever the heart sees has been expressed.  Feelings, perspectives, vibes, and instincts have been applied to the contents of this book.  Each piece contains a message.  The message has been injected with a plethora of simile, metaphor, symbolism, and oxymoron to name a few. This book entails standard prose, odes, free verse, and performance poetry.

Spirituality runs rampant throughout The Looking Heart.  The goal is to instill within the reader a sense of confidence, strength, motivation, and more importantly, spiritual evolution.  We cannot continually partake in regimens, protocol, and procedure at the same rate and time everyday, and logically expect changes for the better.  I hope this reading will inspire all people and expressionists to utilize their God given talents to the best of their ability with the intent on inspiring someone else.

The color, flavor and symbolism utilized in this literary work should keep the reader captivated at all times.  Some pieces contain the element of flow…some do not.  But when it's over and done with, it’s the message that truly matters.

The content is based upon observations, experiences and thoughts all sewn together with spirituality’s needle.  One may get it all, then again another may not.  However, thought provoking is the major adjective that should be applied to this work.
