This story is based a real person who lives in Southern Georgia. It's been fictionalized (just a bit) so it wasn't quite so obvious who the person is (her mother doesn't know of all her escapades).
She's quite the character who has always loved handsome men. She still does, but through trial and error has come to realize they are only to be admired, not taken into her heart.
This is a short, to the point - humerous at times - story.

I couldn't believe my ears or my eyes. "May I talk to him?"
"What?"
"I want to talk to him."
"Not until he's processed. Sorry."
"I'll go home and get dressed. I'll be back down here in an hour. Does that give you enough time?"
"Yes. I'll let them know to expect you."
"Thanks."
"Oh and Mary Margaret -," said Lonnie."
"What?"
"Be sure and leave your gun at home."
