The exceptional entry, "Fan-Fan", by editor, John Howard Reid, won First Prize in the prestigious Southern Cross Literary Competition, 2002.
Mr Reid is Chief Judge of the Annual Tom Howard Short Story, Essay and Prose Contest. This long-established literary competition (currently in its 17th year), is open to all writers world-wide and presently offers $5,250 in prize money, including a First Prize of $2,000 cash!
Unlike most other writing contests, literary works that have already been published or even won prizes in other competitions will be accepted, provided the author is able to give permision to have his or her work published online.
Of course, original, unpublished work is also most welcome. In fact, the judges are eager to discover new, talented authors!
