The picture of me standing on the end of the plank was taken in 1994, when I was twenty four years old, on the San Mateo Creek Bridge in Hillsborough, California. I was at an elevation of three hundred and eighty six feet above the ground. I wasn’t tied off nor were there any safety nets. I was at a learning point in my life where I had total confidence in myself and was absolutely sure of my actions. It inspired this train of thought:
