A Cold North Wind SynergEbooks
In this matriarchial society, the women are the rulers, the warriors, the healers, and the men stay home to raise the children, keep the gardens, stock and homes.
Multipartnered marriages are the normal not the unusual. It is, however, unusual for a Priestess/healer to be bound in a committed relationship to two Warriors marked for the Empress' service.
This is the story of the triad learning how to function as a joined Warrior Triad. Their adventures begin with their bonding ceremony in the middle of a blizzard.
Excerpt
from part 18: Scar and Marget repeated her actions leaving from other directions out of the camp. Beatrace and Wolf continued to search through the leavings of the camp. Beatrace found off to the side a tiny box made in the shape of a dragon and filled with some white powder. There were other things too, that told her the trader that frequented the area had been present in this camp. She took all of the items that might be of use and added them to the already full satchel.
When she was satisfied that there were no other items of use or medicinal herbs of value in the area, she whispered to Wolf. "Find Areesa, Wolf." and then she mounted with difficulty and sat watching Wolf search for the scent. She called to Sonia, Chrylsa, Marget and Scar as she saw Wolf find the scent she had searched for. She kicked her horse and held tight as the horse raced to the north, following instincts.

Being of Indian heritage, I was intrigued by the shaman's quandary and powerful mindset in The Cold North Wind. The dialogue consistently pulled me into the story line. There were many turns and surprises to keep the reader wanting.

Stacy Reynolds, author of The Daathar Chronicles
A Cold North Wind is a story of survival in its rawest form. A story set against the ages, A Cold North Wind tells the tale of a tribe of women warriors. From the moment they are joined in a bondig until the suspenseful ending, the book holds the readers attention, anticipating the next segment. The characters are vivid and three-dimensional and the story is caaptivating. When you are reading the story, I recommend a warm blanket and a hot cup of cocoa to shield you from A Cold North Wind.
