This is an action sequence from the martial arts action film, "Photo Finish" from Silver*Ware Studios written by Script Writer Travis Ware.

“This is the first ever martial arts film starring a black female in the lead role.”

Arlean Collins, a black female photographer for the Atlanta Journal and Constitution; that also is studying for her 7th Degree Black belt of Aikido martial arts, has been placed on a “photo assignment” to cover an exclusive Press Conference of a large organization called Di-Tech that makes weaponry for the military and medical equipment for hospitals. This turns out to be a cover-up for an assassination on the president of the company.

Vice President, Paul Phillips, sat up that Press Conference because he has plans to take over the company and start working with Mid East Terrorist selling military arms on the black market. To do this, he has to get the President, Mr. William Taywood, out of the picture because they don't see eye to eye on how Mr. Phillips was planning to use "terrorist money" to fund the company’s expansion.

During this conference, Arlean photographs the assassin, Thompson, sent by Mr. Phillips. Arlean was spotted and now has a contract on her head to get the film from her.  To find out the conspiracy behind the murder, Arlean decides to catch him dealing weapons through her trusty camera. Arlean and her new found boyfriend, Steven a reporter for the AJC, has to sneak in the highly arm guarded warehouse, get the evidence that she needs, and confront Mr. Phillips; while fight through an army of mercenaries and terrorist; armed only with the martial art, Aikido and her wits. She needs to stop him before there is another “War on Terrorist.”

Arlean goes softly into the living room. She sees Thompson and three other CROOKS ransacking her place. Each guy is dressed in a suit.

Who the hell are you? And what are you doing in my apartment?

Ms. Collins, sorry for the intrusion.

Then get out!

As Arlean moves toward Thompson, all three men move in front of her.

Iím afraid that wonít be possible. You might have something we need.

Whatever it is, I donít have it! So get the hell out of here!

Thompson sighs, and then pulls out a 9mm auto.

I want the film from the press conference you shot tonight.

I donít have it. Itís at CVS.

Okay, I tried to be nice about this. I think my boys here need to teach you how to cooperate.

Thompson gestures to CRIMINAL #1.

He rushes Arlean who WHACKS him across the mid section and then on the back of the head. He crumbles to the floor.

Holding his head, he gets back up.

You little black bitch, youíll pay for that!

He grabs a long slim glass vase off a glass table and breaks the edge off on the metal frame.

Iím going to carve that pretty face of yours.

He goes for a swing and Arlean steps aside, breaking the vase in his hand with the boken. Criminal #1 screams holding his bloody hand.

Donít just stand there! Get her!

Thompson shoves CRIMINAL #2 toward Arlean. Criminal #2 does a "round house" kick and knocks the boken out of her hands.

I got something for that Judo shit!

Criminal #2 throws a series of punches and kicks. Arlean blocks each move or steps out of the way. He throws a "spinning heel kick" and Arlean catches his leg. She turns and throws him into the glass table.

Thatís Aikido, asshole!

Criminal #2 yells and charges, grabbing her by the throat. Arlean breaks his hold, breaking his wrist, and then throws him into a China Cabinet. He collapses and lies there.

Thompson points the 9mm at Arleanís head.

Very impressive. But I donít think you can "Karate Chop" a bullet. Now whereís the film?

Over on the shelf. In the vase.

On the shelf, huh?

Thompson slowly looks around and as soon as he does, Arlean grabs the gun hand and flips him on the floor. She bends his wrist CRACKING it, which makes him drop the gun.

Arlean kicks the gun aside while Thompson struggles to get up, holding on to the shelf.

You bitch!

God, I hate that word.

Arlean gives Thompson a side chop to the neck and he flies back into the shelf, breaking the vase. He falls to the floor out cold. Arlean walks over.

See. If youíd thought with your head not your balls, we wouldnít have had to go through all this drama.

She grabs the film from the darkroom, picks up her jacket and runs out the door.
