Everyone has trials and tribulations in their lives. This book tells about the miracles that I have received and observed in the last 33 years.
Through eight chronic illnesses, cancer and troubled marriages, Jesus has been my strength.
The life of my third and present husband was miraculously changed seven years ago. We just celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary.
Each and every chapter of this book shows the reader how my faith has grown through the years. This is due to the faithfulness of God and His protecting hand in my life.

During the latter part of the 1970’s, I began my journey as a college student.
There was the usual chore of
checking my urine to see if I was spilling any sugar. Most of
the time it was negative, as it was this particular day.
As I quickly headed out the door at 7:00 a.m., I grabbed my books, insulin supplies, and breakfast.
At the gas station just on the outskirts of the small town, I stopped and gave myself my morning insulin shot. Next, I proceeded to
get my scrambled egg sandwich out of my bag, began to eat it, and turned onto I-55 going to my Anatomy & Physiology class.
The last thing I remembered was turning right at the entrance ramp onto the interstate. It was 30 minutes later when the car jerked to a stop at the exit off the interstate close to the college. I didn’t remember the entire trip!
Everything in the car was in disarray. My rear view mirror had cracked. My head was hurting, and the coffee,
which was in the holder with the top on, had spilled. "What in the world happened?" I said, as I pulled into the campus parking lot, got out, and examined the car.
There was a silver streak running down the entire right side of my Oldsmobile! In the grill of the car, there was a lot of ‘something‘. It looked as if I had gone through a wheat field!
After class, I would have to go back and investigate, I thought. Maybe it wasn’t that bad, because I had not been seriously hurt.
Two hours later, I asked my Dad if he would go with me, and we went to find what I had hit. There it was! Tall grass along the interstate, and you could see the tire prints of a car going off the road. The rail next to the overpass had definitely been hit.
If the railing had not been there, I would have gone off the side! Instead, the railing allowed me to merge back onto the highway.
There were no cars along the road. Praise the Lord, I thought. Anyone who might have seen the accident would probably have thought I was drunk.
Thank you Lord Jesus for watching over me. I know who was driving my car. It was an angel from my Heavenly Father, who is always watching, holding me and keeping me in His right hand!
My husband didn’t like me going to college. After this accident, I was afraid that he would force me to stop going to school.
There had to be a better and more accurate way of checking my blood sugar. So, I asked my friend if there was anything new that would help in this area. She said, “Yes,there is a new product that just came out. There are bloodtesting strips that you can get to help you determine how low or high you might be.” “Great,” I exclaimed, “This will allow me to stay in school and be a little more confident when driving!”
She explained that you prick your finger and place a drop of blood on a strip. Then, compare the strip to a color chart that has a range of numbers on it. This will be more accurate than just negative or positive.” Thank you Lord for making it possible to continue, I prayed. I called my endocrinologist, for a prescription.
Now, I felt better equipped in this battle. Diabetes is such a complicated disease, and can only be effectively controlled by the person who has it. If I didn't control the diabetes, it would control me.
Trusting Jesus to watch over me has been the only way that I have been able to maintain control of this disease.
Even when you think you are doing ALL the right things, it can STILL go wrong. Without divine intervention and the people God placed in my life, I am sure I would not be here today.
How could anyone not believe that God loves us and wants the best for us? Sadly, some of us must become totally dependent on Him for our every move, before we come to this realization.
The scripture in Genesis 2:7 states, “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul,”
This would be a personal reminder of God’s sovereignty and power, in the days to come.
