Harry Fein, a cab driver in Boise, Idaho, is obsessed with the art of dying. Jacob Pratt, a quiet man with an abusive past, is obsessed with the art of killing. When their lives intersect, so do their obsessions, and as the real becomes surreal, there’s a distinct possibility Harry won’t last through the night.
Leigh Binder’s How to Kill Harry will change the way you view cabbies—and every chance encounter you have between dark and dawn. In Harry’s world, children are the only truly innocent, politicians are the only truly corrupt, and everyone else falls somewhere in a black and bloody in-between that could be Manhattan, Boulder, Charlotte, Casper, or Tallahassee. It could be your town. Hell, it probably is.
If you are a fan of Chuck Palahniuk, you’ll dig this book. If you are an armchair philosopher, you’ll dig this book. If you like a witty, smart, fast-paced novel, you’ll dig this book.

Professional Reviews
Julie Stahl: Literary agent/editor
Employing masterful storytelling, humor, and deep insight into the human condition, Leigh Binder has written one of those rare novels that both enlightens and entertains. Laced with psychological suspense, How to Kill Harry tells a fascinating and unpredictable story illustrated with flawed and engaging characters; characters who are refreshingly genuine, complex and ordinary, representing in their different facets the contradictions and wide spectrum between good and evil that lies within us all. As they struggle, in the midst of normalcy-turned-chaos, to deal with such vague and problematic concepts as betrayal, truth, love, worth and meaning, we are likewise challenged to question our own understanding of the world as we know it.

I got this book in the morning and took it to read on the way to work. I lost my work and later on my girl, as I found my self at night sitting at the same place and theconductor asking my politely to leave, as he wish to go home.
Bindo's writing concocts the daily life into the holy. Each reading brings forth new thoughts and new words to hang on. |
