Time management secrets for writers with day jobs.

The Monster Whisperer

How to Write at Work reveals the secret every working writer should know: there are many ways to write while you hold down a job. Learn how to claim the parts of the working day that belong to you - and then use them for your writing.

Comes with bonus free ebook So Your Boss is a Monster. Find out how to tame your boss and make your working day a lot easier.

Excerpt

1 The Smart Way to Write at Work

There's a right way, and a wrong way to write at work.

The wrong way will get you fired, make no mistake. And when that happens, you'll have to hunt down a new Day Job Monster and waste months of valuable writing time adjusting to a different office routine to cover the mortgage.

The wrong way involves writing instead of doing Monster work. It's not a great idea to work on your real career when you should be crunching statistics for the Annual Report. You probably won't impress your boss by telling him to keep his voice down because you're trying to finish chapter seven of your novel.

There's a smarter way to write at work.
You do it legally. You only need to find the segments of legitimate writing time that are spread throughout the average working day.
