“Words from the Heart: Treasured Moments Spent with God,” is a collection of poetry and writings. Over twenty some years of my life, I have written poetry, as a means of experiencing the depth of God’s wisdom, for my own life. As each poem was written, one more piece of new growth was discovered, as God was revealing the truth to me that could only set my heart and life free, from despair.

A Refuge Thru The Storm
“Words from the Heart: Treasured Moments Spent with God,” is a collection of fifty poems and writings. As my life has become a day to day journey with Christ; I have found His presence to be very real. As each obstacle faced me head on; God met me, at the place, where I sought for His presence, while He comforted me, with words that could ease my aching heart.
As you read each poem, there is a page of writings that will give you a thought or story, as to how the poem came to be. Some of the poetry dates back, to over twenty years ago…at the time, when I experienced difficult moments of despair.
“Words from the Heart: Treasured Moments Spent with God,” will give you an overall experience, of the precious moments that God and I shared, as He brought me from a place of bondage, to a place of freedom.
As you read, “Words from the Heart: Treasured Moments Spent with God,” you will not only experience the moments, when I felt, as if I was in a prison cell of despair and how God set me free but you will also read other poems, that pertain to a country road…a place, where I could get away from the surgeries and pain and rediscover God. You will also connect to the moments, when I felt that I was losing everything in my life, including children and how God allowed me to exchange the heartache, for a new view, of what He longed to do in my life. You, the reader, will also experience the deep moments, when in the midst of my own despair; I found God’s heart, to be a companion, to my own heart. As you read on, you will discover how I found God’s strength, during many moments of weakness and you will discover how I found God to be my Father, Friend and only source of hope.

Excerpt
At a specific moment in my life, when I felt as though, I was going to take a final fall; I began to feel the peaceful presence, of God coming to me, on wings of love. The presence, I felt that day, was greater and fairer, then what I had ever felt before. The wings that caught me, had known just the right time, to reach out and catch me and the love I felt, was telling me, that God had not forgotten me.
I believe that it’s not God’s desire, to see us perish in the pit of our own despair. We need to remember, that God’s wings of love are there for us every day and when a moment arrives, when we feel we can’t go on, we need to believe that His wings of love will be there to catch us.
