Journeys Into the Velvet Darkness: Revealed Evil" is a collection of short stories, exploring the darker side of human nature. They are Edgar Allen Poe with an O. Henry twist.
It's a pleasure to have bite-size stories. Each one kept me captivated until the end, wondering what was going to happen. Some endings I saw coming-- though never in quite the way I expected-- and some took me completely by surprise. Part of the fun of these stories was trying to guess, and the surprise always waiting at the end.
I'm not typically a reader of horror, but I think this book will appeal to a far greater audience than that label suggests. I highly recommend it |
