Blending photography and dream symbols has been
a thrilling adventure for me. This is a 2010 calendar with photographs and words about dreams for each month of the year.

Many people who have been interested in the dreams of the Old and New Testsmennt may find
that the interpertation of dreams is not reserved just for experts. An understanding of the dream
can add a new vitality and a new dimention to the religious life of the ordinary human being.
Many of the great religious leaders maintain that we can experience God. In dreams our hearts
open up and we are able to experience the Living God, the father of our Lord Jesus. Through
this experience, we are better able to understand ourselves as originally created by God and
how to better serve our church community and humanity at large.

Dreams are mysterious and are gifts of wisdom that come to us in the night to be nurtured
and cherished. Dreams provide an intimate connection between the image and our lives.
Dreams are as uniquely designed, as are our fingerprints. There are many people in our
dreams, even the nightmare monster, calls for our attention. We interpret the dream from
our own perspective. What do we see? Opposites often blend in a dream. The dream asks
us to live in the tension of these opposites. Dreams might shatter old illusions. Dreams are
about endings and new beginnings. Dreams heal the broken or torn places in our lives.

Dreams reflect the soul. Looking through the image and down into the dream, we see new
possibilities. We are called to evaluate the message and then to follow the dream’s messages.
Even in the shadowy corners of our dream we find meaning. Dreams reveal our shadows,
even if they are only ghosts that are barely visible. Some dreams have a glowing light known
as “numinosity,” which seems like an encounter with the Divine. We can have conversations
with the dream images through writing, art, or verbal dialogue which allows for our expansive
growth. Some dreams repeat themselves in cycles to emphasize the urgency for the issues
to be resolved. Dreams bring up old abandoned memories for healing.

The purpose of the dream is to bring health and wholeness. The dream is a love letter from
the Divine and therefore sacred. I invite the reader to journal their dreams and seek to find
the wisdom therein.
