This book was written during a time when the author was caring for her husband who had throat cancer which took his voice .and subsequently took his life. While she was caring for him, she was being given words to write that she found helped others who were going through the same thing...the sadnes, frustration, overwhelming feelings of lost. She decided that other smight benefit from she experience and might find they were experiencing the same thing. Writing and journalling was how she survived being a caregiver. Now, she hopes her poems can help heal and soothe other caregiver's aching hearts, soul and spirit.
This is a book of poetry for people who are caregivers of terminally ill cancer patients. The caregiver is the last person that folks think about when it concerns a cancer patient; and they are the one who should have just as much support mentally, emotionally, spiritually and comforting. They try hard to do everything in their power to help and maybe in their mind even keep their loved one alive. It is a horrific decease, and prayerfully these poems will help the caregiver know they are not alone.

“He has two weeks.”…just like that, is what the doctor said. My mind said, how cold, stark and sure she is.
“He has built up calcium. In a way that’s not a bad way to go”…just like that…insensitive, cruel and without passion.
