The Evidence of God's Existence: As Explained in the Teaching of Agni Yoga

This book is about Ancient Wisdom philosophy. It is in an easy to read question/answer (F.A.Q.) format since the belief of the Yogi is the rudeness of speaking of matters of religion and philosophy from the "pulpit", other than answering a question to a seeking mind. Most of the subjects in the book are very esoteric and not easily understood or absorbed. As the Buddha said "Believe nobody but your own heart and common sense"

If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent Him” Voltaire.
The original title of this book was “Why does not God Heal the Amputees?” In this 3rd edition we have decided to change the title to a more provocative title. See the "proof" in Q2:13. Ultimately the book is written to everyone who is seeking to find the Truth with special emphasis to the agnostic/atheist crowd who think the only kind of God can be denied is the western, anthropomorphic, personal god. Of course there is no proof or conclusive way to show the existence of a higher power other than attempting to show a different eastern concept of god. This book wants to share the eastern view with no uncertain terms and paint a true view of the eastern mind. Clearly, to some people, god has been "on vacation" and does not answer prayers. This book attempts to answer some of these questions, it requires an open mind and an open heart, and if this condition is met it will open your horizons and expand your consciousness.

Excerpt

This book is about the Ancient Wisdom. The terms Agni Yoga and Ancient wisdom will be used interchangeably in this text. The idea is that there are many specific ways to achieve the concept of the Ancient Wisdom but knowledge itself is insufficient. One must practice an inner science like Yoga to gain Enlightenment.
To sum it up, the knowledgebase described herein is the Ancient Wisdom. The specific Teaching that I practice is Agni Yoga.
Some, would-be disciples of these principles had to wait years and even decades to be allowed into the Mystery Schools.
Since we have entered the Age of Aquarius these concepts are open and available to everyone who wishes to know it.
There are certain rules according to the Ancient Wisdom. None can charge you money to teach and explain the concepts outlined herein.
Clearly, writing styles greatly differ from century to century.
To make sure that this body of knowledge gets disseminated and actually read for the twenty first century the author decided to write this book.
There is no expectation that one would take what it is written down for face value. Lots of concepts and ideas outlined hereon are radical, unusual and outright unbelievable at first.
Accept what you want and leave the rest for tomorrow.
This author asks the reader is to keep an open mind and try to think, “Well I never experienced this but it could be true.”

Leave an element of possibility out there and do no outright deny a concept because it is radical or unconventional at first. Let it sink in. If it does not make sense then perhaps the reader is not ready for it yet. The worst one can say is “this is absurd, it could never be and I do not accept it.” This way one is closing a venue and a possibility to expand ones horizons and growth.

The Rule of Concepts according to the Ancient Wisdom is the cornerstone of understanding and accepting the Teaching.

Religious historians are all talking about ‘facts’ and books written, translated and retranslated from ancient times. None of us contemporaries were eyewitnesses to evens we discuss and argue about. All is based on interpretation and conjectures.
To gain knowledge and understanding of the Teaching one would be best served on focusing on Concepts not the details.

This is paramount in understanding this philosophy and body of knowledge we outline in this book.

Basic concepts according to the Ancient Wisdom are:

There is no Personal God. God is a Universal Principle contained in every form.

God did not create the Universe – it was emanated from within the Logos. Modern particle physics and quantum mechanics support this theory.

There is no afterlife (in the forms of heaven and hell) but there is the Law of Reincarnation to teach and further the Spiritual Awareness of humans

There is the Law of Karma that drives all human endeavors and explains all human events

These ideas were known and studied long before Christ came along and organized religions were set up as the control mechanism for the masses
Ancient Wisdom was once part of Freemasonry, The Rosicrucian’s, and the Kabbalah. Most established religions had a group within that held on to the esoteric doctrines.

The Catholics had the Jesuits, Jewish faith had the Kabbalah and Muslims had the Sufi order (the whirling dervishes)

Words with capital letters signal an important esoteric concept. Quotes in Italics are the word of the Hierarchy.
Casual usage of these might be found not capitalized letters. I apologize for any confusion this might cause to the esteemed reader.
Lastly, I am neither a teacher nor a Guru. I write about these things because if this book touches just one reader the right way then it has served its purpose. The question and answer format is enforcing the concept of sharing, rather than preaching or lecturing.

Professional Reviews

Evidence is all around
Thank you Andras, for capturing and compiling the essence, of where to start looking. Read without bias, or presumption, one cannot help, but to find a warm spot for this insightfully sensitive experience of reconciling religion with the art of finding the individual path. The conflict of blending Eastern and Western philosophy, has long been postulated, but this unique perspective, generated from actual experience, is quite worth the read. The mere boldness of the title, should make you aware, that these are questions and answers we should all be pondering. In these times of such great tribulation and technology, that seemingly want to take over the planet, it's refreshing to know that there are still individuals that consider these matters of great importance, and are willing to take the time to write about it.
Very compelling read, and please, keep up the good work Andras. Highly recommended and educational as well.
