For such a limited niche market, there are a surprisingly large number of books currently available that reproduce the wonderfully colorful one-sheet posters and lobby cards that used to adorn our movie theaters.
What I don't like about most of these books, however, is that, despite excellent printing, the posters are often crowded five or six to a page. In my opinion, this over-crowding lessens the impact of the individual posters.
In my book, I have spread 204 posters over 166 pages. No more than two posters are printed on a page. Most posters, in fact, occupy a page all to themselves.
These posters have been drawn from three of the world's finest private collections. Many of them are one-of-a-kind originals that have never appeared in other books or printed catalogs.
I've also provided a description of each poster, mostly just a few words or a few lines, but in one case I have written a whole page warning fellow collectors against buying a particular type of poster, because of my serious reservations as to its actual monetary value (if any).
As this book is printed throughout in full color, it is unfortunately not available in retail stores. Copies can only be purchased direct from the publisher.
