“I know. I just wanted to apologize for what happened. I just want to be with you so
bad. Can we please talk?”
“Later, not right now. I have something to do.”
It was dark and there wasn’t a soul anywhere in sight. He grabbed me from behind and
cupped a hand over my mouth.
“Not later, now. You will talk to me. You can’t just dismiss me like some lap dog. If
the nice approach doesn’t work with you, then you will have to see the other side of me. If you
fight me on this you will be sorry.”
I was working a plan in my head already.
He dragged me to a dark corner behind the storage facilities. I could only think what he
had in mind for me. I nodded in compliance. There weren’t any lights and it was around
midnight. He let go and pushed me down on to a stack of boxes. “Sit.”
His hands started roaming over my body. He was patted me down, pulled the knife from
my belt and the one at my ankle.
“You always did have a thing for knives. I always wondered what brought that on.
Listen, Sophia, I am not leaving until I get some answers. That’s all I want.”
