Their new island holds a great secret.

Josh and Anna have always dreamed of escaping their humdrum life by traveling to a tropical paradise. When a credit card company grants their wish in a contest, the two can't contain their excitement, inviting their friends to join them in creating a resort on their fantastic prize—a small, uninhabited, undeveloped island in the Pacific.

But what's in store isn't what they expected.

When they arrive on the island, everything seems perfect. They find the perfect spot for housing, a hot spring in a cave that will make a fabulous sauna, and a glorious beach. Soon they're on their way to achieving their dream and living out their retirement in paradise. As they develop the island, though, strange and bewildering incidents begin to occur, causing Josh and Anna to finally question their luck. What's the real story behind the island gift?

The new inhabitants find themselves frightened yet excited at the mystery of the unexplainable events unfolding around them. Can they discover the unbelievable secret and solve the mystery to maintain their getaway?

A Couple Develops a Small Island that they Won in Contest in this New Book!

Josh and Anna have always dreamed of having their own private getaway. It appears that their dream has come true when they win a credit card company's contest. The prize is a small private island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, uninhabited and undeveloped, which lets them build a tropical island paradise.

Enlisting the help of friends and neighbors, Josh and Anna set off for their new vacation spot. They set out to turn it into the ultimate beach getaway. In addition to building tree house at the shallow beach and having tents at the cove, they find a hot spring in a cave that makes a good sauna. They also make other unbelievable discoveries by the cove, and at the big beach there is surfing, diving and other water sports. It is everything they dreamed it would be. Then odd incidents begin to baffle the inhabitants of Josh and Anna's Paradise Island, and what they discover turns out to be something unbelievable.

Strange occurrences lead Josh and Anna to question their luck. The couple and their friends are frightened and excited by the unexplained events, and they soon discover that this island paradise is more than what it appears to be. Will they discover the secret behind the mystery of Paradise Island?

Manning says the appeal in this adventure is in its realism and mystery. "This book is an imaginary tale that has much in it that could be real," he says. "It's exciting when they don't know what is behind the things that are happening. When they find out what it is, it makes the story more interesting. I think this book will appeal to many readers, because they can imagine their own paradise."

Paradise Island conjures memories of a relaxing, fun place but paradise. This book will have your mind thinking of paradise including snorkeling and saunas and all the typical beach activities. A couple wins a small island and are excited about making it a true paradise, a fun get away. Along with the help of their intrigued neighbors, they start this fun project. Unfortunately, the island has some surprises of its own to offer the excited new guests. Those who enjoy the television show LOST may be interested in what this island has to offer to its newest inhabitants. As you read through this book, you will enjoy the story and be surprised in a few places. The characters are fun and the others plot twists keep you guessing. The start may be slow but once you get into it, you will be very interested in what is happening on Paradise Island.

Have you ever imagined living on an island? With all the trimmings....hot springs, hiking, surfing, snorkeling, and a pool in the crater of a dormant volcano. How about OWNING one? Josh and Anna wake up with this very dream delivered to them via a contest prize. They are now the proud owners of a small island paradise of which they can do as they please. Upon inviting their friends for a first-time visit, they discover that although they cannot build a towering, multi-floor tourist trap, they can create an ideal haven for an escape from city life. Sound too good to be true....usually it is. There's just one catch. This particular island also has visitors on the spiritual or paranormal level, and they don't all seem to take kindly to strangers. With the help of a young girl named Aiko, whom they assist in rescuing from a violent storm rather far from their shores, they come to understand the spirits purpose and how a paradise may still be possible on the island with some compromise.
