This is a large volume of poetry (560 pps) which seeks to capture the spirit and issues ordinary individuals (myself included) struggle with here at the on-set of the Obama Age.

This volumes' subtitle is "Survival Tools and Hard Truths" seeks to illuminate how Americans are coping with these hard times. About half of these poems were written collobratively with inviduals who responded to my requests to talk about their lives and concerns here at the brink of a new decade. The rest are my own observations.
What emerges is that we, as a nation, indeed are seeking and developing survival tools, and at the same time having to face hard truths.
