Inspirational Bible Study ont he Book of Genesis.
In The Beginning is a detailed Bible Study on the book of Genesis. It covers all 50 chapters in twenty-six lessons that are designed for learning and application. Each lesson is divided into two sections. Part one covers the chapters directly from the Bible where as part two allows for deeper thinking and applying the knowledge on a personal level. Genesis is the foundation of the Bible because it states God as being the creator of all things. Then we see the people who proclaimed God but were not always perfect. Learn about the great flood, Abraham's faith issues, Jacob's many wives, and the special gifts of Joseph. It is through these people and more that this study will cover as an example in today's society. Use this book as your study guide in building a relationship with God. After all, it's always best to start, where it all began.
A) In a world of stress and problems why would it be important to take the time to rest and reflect on God? How can this help us as a society and individual cope with our problems?
B) Notice that marriage was setup before sin and that God called them to fill the Earth. The Lord set up a home (Eden), a job (take care of the animals), and then the call to fill the Earth. In our lives what are some of the needs that God provides for His people before and during marriage?
C) Because there was no one else why would it be a bad thing for Adam to be alone? Notice the job God needed done and why two people where needed. In our life what is something we can do single and things we can do in marriage?
D) The Bible looks at a marriage as a joining of two people. This means both partners represent each other. They become one in that if one hurt so does the other. If one is happy then both are happy. Even in our society, we make it against the law to incriminate oneself, that goes for married couples and not forced to testify against your spouse.
E) Knowing all of this we should treat a potential spouse as a person who you can be one with. If single, what changes should we make before getting married and being ready for a potential spouse? What changes should we make if you’re married so you can be a solid union? Remember we should look at the person as close as you’re left side of the body is no better or weaker then you’re right.
F) Knowing you was created and not formed by accident, how does this make you feel about having purpose in the world?
