And do you enjoy playing games like word searches and word mix ups?

When dinner came, my Groovy Granny
didn’t make me eat liver.
Instead she made me JELL-O,
‘cause she likes to watch it QUIVER!
After dinner, Granny said,
“Let’s BOOGEY all night long!
We danced so much, I think we bore
a hole straight to Hong Kong!
I got tired from twisting,
and soon I fell asleep.
But Granny did aerobics,
and then she baked me sweets!
Grace gives her young readers 17 poems that will be sure to bring out the giggles and tickles
Children will be delighted by these cute poems written by Heather Grace. Grace gives her young readers 17 poems that will be sure to bring out the giggles and tickles. Kym Jones illustrations give the poems even more giggles, with her bright colours and fun characters; this is a book that parents and children will love to discover together.
Besides the wonderful poems, Grace also has provided her readers with word searches, activity sheets, and colouring pages. I printed out the sheets for my son, and he loves them! One of the coloring pages now hangs on my fridge. The activity sheets, I admired. They are fun, but at the same time educational. One of the sheets is an understanding page; questions and answers pertaining to the poetry that the child just read.
Grace then provides for the parents/teachers urls of educational resources. This is a perfect book for homeschooling children, and I highly recommend it. It is released Sept. 1, 2001, so it's perfect timing for the school season. Children will love the poems, and parents will love the worksheets that are included.
Bubble Mud a Delight!
What a delight this book turned out to be. It's childlike grace captures you from the first poem to the last. Mothers, teachers and all kids will have a barrel of fun in this sing song poetic trip with children. Bubble Mud and Other Poems explores childhood and makes it fun for all.
From playing hide and seek, sneaking to some secluded place to do our favourite things, to a boy who likes to dance, to doing things for ourselves. This all comes from a child's perspective of things and makes the little lessons of life so much more enjoyable. Subjects are explored by rhyme, not reason, from poking fun to being alone, to messy situations--we are laughing and crying all the way! This book explores all the avenues of the child's mind and makes child's play of them.
Heather Grace brings us a brilliant book of poetry designed to delight and entertain us. Beautiful artwork completes this winner. There is something for everyone here, including word games, puzzles, and colouring pages, and feeling like a kid again! I encourage you all to try this one: it's one of a kind so far!
