When a vampire takes young Kelly, wife of Paul Straford to make as his mate, he soon finds he's made a terrible mistake. Quickly learning the mere mortal Paul is more then he bargained for, the sweet young Kelly turning out to be a belligerent and veracious blood taker.
When a vampire takes Paul Straford’s beautiful wife Kelly as one of his victims, Paul vows he’ll find the creature and exact his revenge. Many months of tracking pass until one night, in the early hour before dawn, he comes upon a dark cloaked figure draining the blood of a victim. Only by luck, the creature intent on it’s feeding, Paul is undetected and follows it to an old abandoned warehouse, where on the forth floor it opens a forgotten elevator shaft and disappears inside.
His body shaking with fear, along with the excitement of catching the vampire off guard in his lair, Paul waits the short time until sunlight fills the warehouse Then he hurries to the elevator shaft with a wreaking bar and quickly works the door open enough so he can glance down to see a dark figure asleep on the elevator floor far below. Quickly now, with a wooden stake and mallet he has tucked into his belt, and with a rope he has taken from a back pack he always carries, he lowers himself into the shaft.
By the time he reaches the bottom his heart is pounding loud in his ears, however without hesitation he rolls the sleeping figure over with his foot and drops down beside it. With the wooden stake in one hand and the mallet raised high in the other ready to strike the stake and drive it deep into the vampires heart, Paul realizes something is very wrong when he feels a woman’s firm breast beneath the hand holding the stake. Suddenly the stillness of the elevator shaft is shattered by his mournful screams of horror when he glances up into the face of the vampire, the face grimy with dirt, it’s mouth and chin stained from the blood if it’s last victim, the face of his beloved Kelly who’s eyes now open and her pouting lips say, “Hello Paul.”
