Space Bugs, Earth Invasion (57,000 words) is an imaginative sci-fi/fantasy novel written for children eight to thirteen that could also be read and appreciated by adults. Space Bugs completes the young adult trilogy that was begun by Enchanta and Pot of Gold.
Space Bugs, Earth Invasion is part of a trilogy that also includes the novels Pot of Gold and Enchanta. In the sci-fi/fantasy novel Space Bugs, Earth Invasion, David and Barbara Morgan from the Enchanta fantasy novel team up with cousins Larry and Janet Garrison from the Pot of Gold book to combat the mighty forces of wicked Queen Termita from planet Insectia. The Insectians are human-size flying bugs that invade and threaten Earth with their superior technology enforced with egocentric cruelty. The four youngsters go to Hammonds Grove, New Jersey's most famous landmark, Superstitious Rock. They wish for Rhymer the leprechaun from the Pot of Gold story and Changer, Pretender and Inventor from the Enchanta novel to assist them. The four magicians appear and then help the Morgan and Garrison kids do battle against Queen Termita's formidable army. The Insectians use weapons such as the Identatron, the Evilsizer and the Micro-Minimizer against Earth's forces, but the children counter with ideas from mythology, the Trojan Spider, the Medusa Medallions and the Termita Touch. The kids even have to battle in a spaceship' arena Queen Termita's fiercest monster, the Insectaclops. Rhymer, Pretender, Inventor and Changer play many hilarious pranks and stunts that frustrate and eventually defeat the Insectian army. In the end, the Insectians sign a Peace Treaty drawn up by the children, and then the space invaders return to their home planet. Rhymer, Changer, Pretender and Inventor go back to their magical worlds, and everything on Earth returns to normal.Space Bugs, Earth Invasion is available in both Microsoft Reader and Adobe pdf. athttp://www.cyberread.com/authors/dubya.asp Space Bugs is now at Mobipocket and it is also available in Adobe pdf and in Microsoft Reader at Amazon.com, at Borders and at Barnes and Noble retail web sites. Quite unexpectedly, Rhymer the elfrechaun's mischievous form appeared in the spaceship three feet away from the livid Queen Termita. The tiny man's sudden appearance at first frightened the already enraged monarch. Termita let out a loud scream that almost punctured President Parasite's eardrums. The cute little rogue had a special message to convey, and he said it before the crazed queen could regain her confidence.

"As you'll find out, you'll plainly see,
You'll never be able to outsmart me.
Yes I do, no I won't,
Now you see me, now you don't!"
Termita's intense anger made her recover from her shock. She desperately lunged at the miniature prankster, but Rhymer's form melted into thin air. Only his giggling echo remained to haunt the detestable queen's imagination.
