Pot of Gold (52,000 words) is an imaginative fantasy adventure novel for children ages eight to thirteen that adults will also find interesting and funny. Janet and Larry Garrison, twelve-year-old fraternal twins are touring Limerick Caverns with their parents on St. Patrick's Day. The children spot an impish leprechaun and chase the little fellow into a strange new amazing world.
In Pot of Gold, the original setting is Limerick Caverns in Virginia, USA. Four magical elves have had their gold missing from their large black kettle. Janet and Larry Garrison must help Rhymer, Prep, Stretch and Nate retrieve the missing fortune on St. Patrick's Day. Evilla is a wicked witch that constantly terrorizes the four magical leprechauns. Larry and Janet must defeat the cruel sorceress, and along the way the kids have strange adventures with the Letter People, Puppet, the Protector, the Two-Facers and with Chiron the Centaur from Greek mythology. Larry and Janet learn the secret of the Great Cornucopia, take a wild ride over a rainbow in a giant hot dog, figure out the mysteries of the Rifle Tower and the Fountain of Truth and finally take a crazy ride on the Merry-Go-Straight. In the end, Janet and Larry are magically transported back to Limerick Caverns to be reunited with their parents.Pot of Gold is now available in Microsoft Reader and in Adobe pdf athttp://www.cyberread.com/authors/dubya.asp Pot of Gold is now at Mobipocket and it is ready in Adobe pdf and in Microsoft Reader at Amazon.com, Borders and at Barnes and Noble. Type in Jay Dubya at those retail web sites. Pot of Gold is the first book in a trilogy, the companion books being Enchanta and Space Bugs, Earth Invasion.
Excerpt
The Letter People's behavior was governed by inane arguing and fighting. This fact upset Larry and Janet very much.
"Your childish fighting and your foolish sayings are as foolish as foolish could be!" Janet yelled at the suddenly startled Letter People.
"Frank fought fake farmers from Futureville for free fruitcakes and funny fiddlesticks," Puppet said as he read Letter F's mind.
"You aren't helping matters any," Larry reprimanded Puppet.
"Diapers don't do dirty dishes," Puppet answered as the wooden man picked up Letter D's disappointing dumb diction.
Everyone became silent for a moment. "Now that you're all quiet," Larry said, "let's get down to business."
"Business bugs buffaloes and bothers bobsleds," Letter Person B said.
"Bite the bullet!" Puppet yelled at B as he read Janet's secret thoughts.

Pot of Gold
Pot of Gold is a delightful, funny attention-keeper written by Jay Dubya. It is a creative fantasy novel for pre-teens. The fun begins when young Larry and Janet Garrison spot a tiny leprechaun and chase him into a very strange and wonderful world. Follow Larry and Janet as they meet interesting characters like the Letter People and Puppet. This book is loaded with imaginative characters and things. I highly recommend it and also Enchanta and Space Bugs, Earth Invasion, Jay Dubya's other two fantasy novels. The three books complete a fantasy trilogy.

Pot of Gold by Jay Dubya
In Pot of Gold author Jay Dubya has produced a very entertaining set of circumstances, characters and unusual people. This story is a fantasy that will transport the reader into a magical land where nothing is quite as might first be thought. This book should have much appeal to the nine through twelve-year-old set. Recommended.
