Faces On The Clock
Eagle Entertainment USA

Faces On The Clock is the autobiography of Larry Bauer-Scandin, who for many yeaars was a professional foster parent in Minnesota.

Larry Bauer-Scandin was featured in a front page article in the St. Paul Pioneer Press in 2006. Written by Ruben Rosario, the article examined Larry's many years of service as a foster parent to delinquent and troubled teenagers in Minnesota. It was a tough job, but Larry performed it admirably, prompting Mr. Rosario to conclude: "If a person's true wealth is judged by the positive impact he has had on others, then Bauer-Scandin is Bill Gates filthy rich." (July 26, 2006 edition)

This feature led to a November 23, 2006 Thanksgiving Special Report on WCCO TV in Minneapolis which stated in part: "On a day for food, family, and fond memories, Larry Bauer-Scandin is surrounded by his kids - all 130 of them. This amazing man still keeps in touch with foster kids he cared for many years ago. Larry remembers every child he took in, and they remember him, a man for whom Thanksgiving comes so naturally."

CBS News Assignment America's Steve Hartman got ahold of this story and came to visit Larry in St. Paul, MN, and in a feature story which aired on January 5, 2007, Larry Bauer-Scandin was giveen the title "The Father of the Year." These newscasts can be viewed on YouTube by typing Larry Scandin into the search engine. They are also on the first page of google and yahoo under the keywords of Larry Scandin.

Now, 3 years later, Larry has completed his autobiography which has been published by Eagle Entertainment USA. This inspiring story is available at Amazon.com, Garrison Keillor's Common Good Books store in St. Paul, MN, The Eagle Entertainment USA website, and other online bookstores. Besides providing pleasant reading, Larry says: "I'm hoping the stories I tell will entertain, make a point occasionally, encourage you to reflect on your lives, and above all, enhance your appreciation for the people and experiences, good and bad, pleasant and unpleasant, that you run into in the course of your lifetime."

"Faces On The Clock" describes Larry's experiences as a child afflicted with many health issues, as a juvenile probation and parole officer, as a YMCA camp counselor, and as an Adlerian Therapist in private practice as well as his experience as a professional foster parent, and is inspirational reading for parents and foster parents alike. "Faces On The Clock" should be required reading for any family parent raising children or foster children.
