“What are you looking for?” asked an old man.
“Er, um…My dog,” said Katie.
“What kind is it? Maybe, I’ve seen it.”
“It’s a really big dog. You’d remember it if you saw it, Sir.”
“I haven’t seen any big dogs come this way and I have been sitting here for about an hour. I did see a bunch of cats running past. Coming from that abandoned school.”
“Thanks for you help.”

Entering the school through a loose board on one of the windows, Katie heard a noise behind her.

“We?” asked Katie.

The old man’s arms closed around Katie, effectively stopping her from reaching for the gun.
“Boys, it’s dinner time,” the old man said. He patted Katie down removing her weapon as growls closed in on them.
