With the book,Emotional Health: The Secret for Freedom from Drama, Trauma, and Pain, you get an owner’s manual describing practical methods to release your physical and emotional chronic pain, suffering, and emotional distress.

Emotional Health

This book shows you how to embrace your feelings rather than continually avoiding them. This skill once mastered brings us relief from suffering, for instance feeling empowered rather than victimized.

This book shows you how to become more aware of your critical, negative self-talk and how to change it to have more success and happiness rather than having your unconscious sabotage you.

This book shows you how get in touch with your wounded inner child and begin healing that emotional part of you that in the past ran your life with repeating patterns of drama and trauma.

This book shows you how to recognize your codependent patterns in abusive relationships and how to begin recovery by becoming aware of your needs and feelings and expressing them and also by practicing setting healthy personal boundaries.

Finally, this book shows you how to recognize your unconscious shadow - the parts of ourselves which we dislike and sabotage our success - which healed reveal new strengths and creative abilities.

Freedom from suffering and trauma takes you on a journey through the lives of over thirteen people who have endured years of physical and emotional suffering.

The above people describe how to release trapped emotions such as anger, depression, and grief from the physical body, as well as chronic physical pain.

People also describe healing deep-seated wounds from sexual and mental abuse, as they encounter a growing empowerment for the first time in their lives.

Through reading and using the methods in this book your emotional health will improve, you will gain greater awareness of your emotions and how they affect your thoughts and behaviors.

You will learn more about your strengths, as well as your weaknesses and how to turn them into strengths. You will increase your levels of self-esteem and confidence.

My purpose is to inspire you to heal and increase your self-awareness and happiness.

If you picked up this book, you probably want a way out of your pain and suffering. If you choose, you can start to find freedom from your suffering and improve your emotional health and well-being.

In this book you will read stories of people who healed their emotional suffering to gain greater freedom, including a former CEO of a major company, a therapist for teenagers, a Science of Mind minister, a Living Water Medicine woman, an author and spiritual coach, a horse whisperer, a quadriplegic, a life consultant coach, a core energetic healer, a psychotherapist, a former nurse, a trans-personal therapist, and the founder of Children of the Sun.

This book birthed out of my own journey from an unconscious desire to free myself from suffering. In my mid-twenties, I began exploring self-growth with a psychiatrist, then studied psychology and participated with countless encounter groups. I also studied Western esoteric systems of development like Kabala for many years. Then I uprooted myself and moved from Alberta, Canada to Los Angeles to live in a psychological community, The Center for Feeling Therapy, for two years. After that community disbanded, good fortune guided me to study hands-on energy healing at The Healing Light Center Church for three years. Since then I have dedicated my life to self-growth, studying and practicing many forms of energy healing, systems of esoteric psychology, as well as yoga and different forms of meditation.

Even after all my study and growth, I still carried many unhealed emotional patterns of suffering. Victim and lack consciousness like I can’t have plagued me for most of my life until recently. Although I continually identified patterns and received energy healings, I remained unaware of when I would fall into the hopeless pit of the victim. Anger and feeling powerless, believing I was unable to make a difference, fueled my victim. Fortunately, I have a wife, who as a gifted energy healer pointed out when she saw the victim overpowering me. My biggest discovery occurred when my wife told me one day to stay present with the feeling of the victim rather than sinking into it. At that moment, I had a choice. I stayed present with the feelings, holding a focus on them, and after a short time I experienced a shift and more energy entered my body. I felt emotionally stronger. Now each time the victim emerges I still have to choose. It gets easier.

Eckhart Tolle talks about being present with emotions and whatever occurs moment to moment. I knew and respected his concept for years, yet I needed a professional to teach me, like my wife did for her clients, how to focus and contain my feelings without unconsciously losing the focus because the discomfort felt too painful. I also wanted to come out of my pain rather than remain attached to it.

Our emotional patterns of suffering confront us throughout our lives until we identify and become aware of our unconscious patterns and heal the core issues through our choices and the assistance of professional healers.

These patterns contain our life lessons, which once learned allow our special talents and strengths to emerge. We can then use our gifts in assisting others, thereby fulfilling our life purposes as many of the people in this book describe.

Did you know that our cells hold memories of our emotional patterns of suffering? For instance, have you experienced similar situations that emotionally trigger you? Would you like to identify these triggers? Would you like less emotional drama in your life? Are you tired of being in unsatisfying codependent relationships? Would you like an owner’s manual for improving your emotional health?

You may be wondering, what is good emotional health? Simply, it refers to our level of emotional well-being. This well-being relates to our feelings or personal experiences of our emotions to thoughts and to our behaviors, which can be unconscious reactions to our feelings.

Recent research by such people like biologist Bruce Lipton shows that our emotional health directly affects our physical health. For instance, depression can correlate to heart attacks and anxiety can create digestive issues. Anger over stresses our heart with fight or flight hormones.

Most of us refuse to recognize our emotions, take action to heal toxic emotions, and realize change takes time. First, we need a desire to change. This desire can sometimes emerge out of years of being in an abusive relationship or relationships.
Western medicine tends to ignore the effect of emotions on physical health. As a Western society, we also deny the expression of our emotions and push them away when they rise to the surface. Improving emotional health remains unimportant, until intense suffering forces us to look deeper at our feelings.

Rather than being a powerless victim, would you like to feel more empowered? Improved emotional health involves changing our nonworking emotions into positive emotions that work in a more healthy way. Rather than getting hooked into emotionally reacting to repeating upsetting situations, we can develop the ability to be proactive as we become aware of our unconscious critical thoughts and feelings.

As we reclaim power over our emotional reactions, emotions no longer run our lives. We no longer live in fear that our emotions will erupt like a child in a temper tantrum and hold us hostage to suffering. We can discover ways to heal our emotions and critical thoughts such as “I am not good enough.” This will decrease the pain in our bodies.

My thirty-five years of practicing and receiving various types of natural energy healing has emphasized that improving emotional health and achieving freedom from suffering involves connecting, at an energetic level, to the core cause of our emotional suffering. When we learn how to accept our emotions and stay present with them, they transform on their own. Energy increases in our body, insights come, and we may experience calm and peace.

As our emotional health improves, we gain greater awareness of our emotions and how they affect our thoughts and behaviors. We learn more about our strengths as well as our weaknesses and how to turn weakness into strength. We increase our self-esteem and confidence. We gain skill in taking charge and managing our emotions in healthier ways. Most important, we have greater choices to be proactive rather than continuing to suffer as victims at the mercy of our emotional dramas. In addition, we also understand the emotions of others, which give us greater social awareness. We can have and maintain healthier relationships with better communication and less conflict.
